This dish originates from south Thailand. Ayam means chicken in Malay and pad means stirfry and prik means chilli in Thai. Today Ayam Paprik is synonymous with Malay food. I ate this a lot while living in Kelantan. When I finished work late, I would go to the many Malay-operated roadside food stalls dotting the
