I picked up this recipe over 20 years ago from a friend of a friend of friend... I'll never forget the first time I made it. It was NOT good. I mean, who sifts flour 3 TIMES? Which begs the question, is sifting flour REALLY necessary? Not necessarily. However, sifting dry ingredients prior to adding
