It's easy to accommodate diners who don't like spicy food by using plain breadcrumbs in place of half of the spicy breadcrumbs. I usually just split the casserole dish down the center, but you can also divide the filling between two 10-inch pie dishes for complete separation if that's critical for your crowd.
