As we have already established around here, dessert is mandatory.  Coffee is also considered an absolute, non-negotiable necessity.  What is neither necessary nor desirable is spending a ton of time making either one of them.  There are other things to be done.  Like preserving those four flats of strawberries you thought were a good idea.
