Did you know I was once a finalist for TEDxToronto? It's true. In 2010 I was pretty darn close to making the cut. Last year I was invited to attend. This year I'm going to speak there- with your help- I hope! When my recently graduated Culinary Nutrition Students started pushing me me to apply again to speak at TEDxToronto this fall, I decided to go for it- again. This year though, I'm thinking it's got to happen. Here's why... The theme this year is Alchemy and, as you know, what I do everyday is alchemy; culinary alchemy that enhances our health, prevents disease and assists in accelerating healing. That post last week about serving up fried chicken in the name of cancer and more people thing it's a-okay is the very reason why my thoughts, theories, practices and knowledge around Culinary Alchemy are most certainly ideas worth spreading- or rather ideas that needs spreading.
