Mandarin oranges always remind me of Christmas. When we still lived in Belarus, my parents always gave us mandarins for Christmas and New Years' (which is a BIG DEAL holiday in all the former Soviet countries). It turns out that my husband's family always had mandarins for those holidays too. Even though mandarins were expensive
