A long, LONG time ago I worked as a cook in a restaurant. One of our biggest sellers was the patty melt sandwich. It’s surprising really, because it’s such a simple little thing. A hamburger patty covered in cheese and topped with some sauteed onions with everything sandwiched between two slices of grilled Texas Toast.
