Carioka/Karioka is a deep fried rice glutinous flour ball coated with caramelised sugar on a skewer. This is the reason why the Ilocanos call it “tinodok or tinuduk”. It is sweet and crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. It is also a popular street food and very good for meryenda or snack.
