Prepare a night in advance and bake in the morning, if you like. This is treat is nearly fat-free (2.6 grams per serving, almonds) and low in sugar (10 grams, maple syrup and unsweetened applesauce). Add different flavors by tossing in coconut flakes, chocolate chips, blueberries, strawberries, peaches or banana (caramelize the banana prior to serving instead of baking with the dish) Boost nutrition by adding chia seeds, hemp hearts or other nuts.
