The champagne is so delicate and slightly sweet with the carmalised onion and bacon rounded out by a lick of sour cream. To me, this is perfect Valentine's Day fare. Cooking with bubbles seems decadent and special. Serve with some buttered pan-fried asparagus for some aphrodisiac bonus points & some gorgeous fresh baked French style bread for sauce mopping and of course another bottle of bubbles.
