Print Recipe Ingredients: 1 T. olive oil 1 sweet or white onion, halved and thinly sliced 1 T. balsamic vinegar 1 T. beef or chicken broth 1 T. brown sugar 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 pound ground chuck (80/20) 1 pound ground sirloin (90/10) ¼ cup finely chopped onion ¼ cup Pinot Noir or other red wine 1 T. minced fresh oregano 1 T. Worcestershire sauce 2 tsp. seasoned salt 4 T. butter 6 large rolls, split 1 (5.2 ounce) package Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs cheese Lettuce, tomato, and avocado slices 12 cooked bacon slices Directions: In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, heat the oil until shimmering. Add onion slices, vinegar, broth, sugar, and garlic. Cover and cook over low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and keep covered. Meanwhile, combine the beef, chopped onion, wine, oregano, Worcestershire sauce, and salt in a medium bowl. Using your hands or a rubber spatula, mix until uniformly combined, being careful not to compact the meat. Divide into six equal patties. Heat a cast iron or nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties to the skillet, in batches if necessary. Cook to desired doneness, 5 to 10 minutes on each side. Divide the butter among the bun halves and toast in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown. Remove from heat and spread the bottom halves of the buns with Boursin cheese.
