1 cup whole wheat pastry flour ½ cup quick cooking oats ½ cup coconut palm sugar (or evaporated cane juice) ½ tablespoon cinnamon 1 teaspoon baking soda ¼ teaspoon fine sea salt ¼ cup toasted sesame seeds (just use 2 tablespoons of sliced blanched almonds if you don't like sesame seeds) ¼ cup sliced blanched almonds (or use chopped almond pieces for more crunch) ½ cup vegan chocolate chips Extra blanched almonds for topping (optional) Wet ingredients: ½ cup pure maple syrup ¼ cup puréed carrots baby food (which is half of a 4 oz jar, baby food is extra creamy and contains water, so use this) 1 tablespoon grapeseed oil 2 teaspoons bourbon vanilla
