Snowmen are something you see a lot of in Michigan this time of year. If you don't live where you get a huge snowfall in Winter, you might think that every snowfall that sticks to the ground makes for optimal snow play. Those of us that live with snow know better. Some snow is feathery, some wet and heavy, some doesn't make for good sliding, packing, or skiing and the list goes on! Try an explain to a little one who has been wanting to make a snowman since summer just WHY he can't because it is the wrong type of snow! You will never appease that question, "But WHY."
