Liquid gold, this toffee sauce is sinfully good, made with just five ingredients, butter, brown sugar, cream, a splash of vanilla, and a touch of salt. It’s equally perfect to pour over a slice of pound cake or bowl of ice cream. You won’t be disappointed. This recipe makes about 1½ cups of Toffee Sauce. Toffee sauce can be made ahead of time before serving and refrigerated. Before serving bring to room temperature or reheat sauce on the stovetop over low heat or briefly in the microwave.
