Don't just enjoy these with maple syrup (or brown sugar as my husband prefers) but serve them as ice cream sandwiches or with something savory. Pile on a bbq (vegan or non-vegan) with cheese and chives or maybe ever a curry. I can get 10 waffles with my waffle maker but each waffle maker varies in size.
