Boeuf Bourguignonne
Julia Child, in Mastering the Art of French Cooking, describes Boeuf Bourguignonne, as "certainly one of the most delicious beef dishes concocted by man", and I have to agree! Originally a peasant dish, Boeuf Bourguignonne (or Beef Burgundy, as it's also called) was slowly refined into haute cuisine until it became a standard of French cuisine. It makes
