This is the 3rd and final book in the Chef’s Press series that I will be doing a recipe and review on. The book is called “Come Early, Stay Late”, by Brian Malarkey who also competed on Top Chef! Brian writes in his intro, that food is not the most important part of eating! The book is about the adrenaline rush of cooking. It’s about the conversation, the laughter but most of all it’s about food being fun! Brian calls himself a “Tong Chef”. Nearly everything that he cooks can be done with a pair of tongs! He is also the King of the “one pan pickup” where he loves to cook food done entirely with one saute pan! Sure makes for easy cleanup eh? The recipes in his book contain ingredients that can be found in most supermarkets. Each recipe comes with a gorgeous close up picture of the finished product along with explicit step by step instructions. I chose to make one of his salads, “Spicy Tomato and Cucumber Salad” If you like hot and spicy foods, this recipe is for you. To see how I made it, keep reading.
