In wintertime it can get pretty cold in the low lands. And when it's cold enough for all the canals to freeze, the whole country holds it's breath to see whether we'll have an elfstedentocht (the tour of eleven cities, a 200 km long skating tour over canals and lakes in Friesland, in the north
