Kimchi is the type of condiment that never really goes bad. The taste will change, the color may change. If some mold starts to appear on the top of the kimchi, remove it with a spoon and eat what's under. I personally never had a problem with mold but dont worry, it doesnt make the kimchi unsafe to eat. That's the beauty of fermented veggies :)
